I know driving an SUV may not be the most environmental act.  But that Land Rover of mine helped me cut my energy use by 40% in the kitchen.

Our 1970s refrigerator is an energy hog, and my wife hated it because the color was from that decade too.  I had read that old refrigerators use more electricity, and learned that new models can reduce energy consumption by 40%.  The trouble is we have bad credit and aren’t saving much with these gas prices.  I couldn’t see how we’d get a loan since our home equity is maxed out too.  

I was poking around the Internet and saw how developers of unsold condos in Chesapeake were selling off Energy Star rated, stainless steel refrigerators, originally $2800, for $1200!  Brand new, never used.  But you had to go get them, cash and carry, the next day.  I needed fast cash.  

Well, the Land Rover is paid for.  So I went to Nashville Car Title Loans, where they told me I could get up to $2000 in a title loan.  All I needed was $1200, so I filled out the online application.  I finished it in about 20 minutes, was approved in an hour and had the money the next morning – just in time.  It’s beautiful, and so is my lower energy bill.
